Finally, the new main menu looks so much better than on other platforms.
for those who left VRC, FUDGE them XD you idiots XD.

As a creator, I have chosen to stay in VRC because I understand that the devs are working really hard this time, plus VRC can do stuff that other cheap copies (for example, if 01 = a, then “03,22,18”) can’t do.
example ? I made a drum machine in Udon ~

yo ! its great and all and i have no complaints of this BUT
i have a friend who has trouble joining us on vrchat. And even crashes as soon as he joins, this being the fact he has to login to vrc 3 times tops to join us and its been happening for awhile. you guys got any tips ? or even just something to improve it so its easier, He has a pretty good going pc and he has no vr. Not sure what it is but its just him who has these problems and i want him in on the fun as we’re pretty close now.

The “Too many buttons” problem is easily negated by having the ability to sort buttons and stuff like you can for certain browser buttons. Being able to add spacers, splits, or make a hidden menu would give you the sort of customization so you can access what you want, where you want, when you want.

My kingdom for the better nameplates, though. I’ve mentioned it to people around you that a border/outline mode on it would increase legibility a fair deal.

already available in open beta

First off, awesome looking menu!
Secondly, would it be possible to add an option to disable thumbstick scrolling? With quest drift, it makes using the menu like trying to wrestle a wild hog.
Best,
Jacko

I get that might be okay for some BUT I had a mod that allowed people to just add their pronouns to their bio and it would appear under their names automatically. I myself don’t always read status’ or bios so having a thing under the name that has their pronouns instead of putting it in status’ or bios would allow more space within the status/bio.

This ain’t for everyone, and putting it in your status might work for you - but honestly having a tab to show pronouns under or next to someone’s name automatically would A. not take much space truly and B. just more convenient as badges marking them as deaf, mute or whatever they may have as a disability or anything that affects ones health can go right next to it, as it would all go under the name

still hoping for a more simplified " List Only " version without the Img Thumbnail for the sake of loading them. Just Rows of Worlds
( Name, UserCount, Author of World, Date Recent update, and then Description )

Perhaps display if author of world is Online or offline perhaps

Some just like Quick and Informal

but just a thought to avoid having to modify again later down the road…

As a Content creator to someone who wants Avi Search. It hurts Avatar world Rating. Avatar Worlds needs users to join their world so that it can move up the brackets " But " if users gonna just search and not join the world to obtain it, then that world wont move up and is more likely to be deleted as the author sees the stats visited very low hardly visited.

Personally for my I want " Opt In " Option to allow avatars to be Search and perhaps Individual Avatars if possible.

Reason being that…you have Avatar makers who makes avatar worlds who hides special Avatars for you to work towards to. With that…users are more so to turn off Cloning for those reason cuz they went thru the world to obtain it…depending on the difficulty of the world.

If Avatar Search is Added in without the option to Prevent search for those reasons…then what is the point of having Avatar Worlds in the first place.

I see the avatar search mentioned in every one of these. I just want to say I find it neat that a world can gate some avatars behind a collection quest. I forget the name of the world but it was a bunch of robots and the fetch quest was for batteries to power the robots. So I like the idea of search being opt in for public avatars.

I wonder how much the current code base would be in the way preventing switch between desktop and vr mode without restarting. But personally I’d rather have brightness options in vr first.

It’s in Open Beta currently! It shows up on the settings carousel on the camera itself.

I’m going to keep using the notification system for other things like ‘you’re the world master now’ alerts and other special notifications! XD

JUST WOW YOU GUYS! I went from disliking the Dev team to wanting to marry them. This is all so fantastic. My love and respect for this platform is fully restored and some. You guys did not just do the bare minimum, You went that extra step to make it that much more amazing and for that I thank everyone involved in this development.

As said before actions speak louder then words and to me all of this says, Hey we want to make this up to you. Dev team please give your self a pat on the back for a fantastic job. But what is the most amazing part is the professional communication from staff, keeping Users informed and taking in feed back.

Im happy to see things changing for the better and all of this make me feel more connected with are team. Keep up the awesome work.

This is a solution, but I frequently use my status to communicate various things for people looking to join on me. Letting people know if I’m world hopping, just chilling, at an event, avatar testing, sleeping, or helping someone else through some rough patches is… kind of more important than having my pronouns there. I’ve opted instead to put my pronouns at the top of my bio (so they’ll always be visible when you highlight me) but having them display beneath your status would be awesome.

Maybe we can have an option so Avi makers can have their Avi searchable or not.

A suggestion for VRChat, to help the many people asking for a way to share avatars without making them fully public: a revokable, limited access token for the SDK. You generate a token, give it to the person uploading to your account, and then they can upload avatars or worlds to your account until you revoke the token. They can’t touch any avatars that weren’t uploaded with the specific token they are using, and you can generate multiple tokens and name them appropriately so you know who is using which ones. I never want to give out my password to let people upload to my account, but I’d be more than happy using a more controlled method such as this.

no this doesnt make it more obvious. a lack of communication is what landed you in this mess in the first place, the last thing you need to do is hold out on info. without turning off the hud and using overlays to replace what i can just to hide the mute icon i cannot play the game. the mute icon feels like a eyelash i cant get rid of and is super annoying. a simple mod got rid of it but im working with work arounds that need work arounds just to hide it. this is by far the most important feature to me and im glad its coming by why hold out on telling us about a rather simple feature? it doesn’t make sense .
