Why is there no version of VRChat for PS4 or PS5?

VRChat uses unity in a way where avatar and world creators can 3d model assets in external software like Maya or blender, and can attach shaders to style things.

To pick on fortnite as an example, say I wanted a blue police box with a door, can I build that? Out of what?

this might be a bit off topic but… i haven’t found any official vr chat nintendo switch game card online, how is this image even possible

I’m surprised how no one mentioned this in the total of 3 years this thread has been up, but I think there’s an obvious answer, the adult UGC.

If the game ever goes to console, then it’ll have to be rated by content rating systems. VRC doesn’t moderate anything that goes into the game(unless a report is made, but you usually see players take the blows and not the content), in fact, models that could make your PC literally burst into flames go unchecked. Despite the game being 13+, 18+ content is allowed but has no restrictions.

So until the VRC dev team decides to draw a line with 18+ content and behavior, the game is Adult Only by default and thus wouldn’t be allowed in physical or on digital storefronts for consoles.
