Vrchat soft freezes after a few seconds upon loading into a world

Video of the problem above.

This goes for both desktop and pcvr, ill boot up the game, doesnt matter the world, nor avatar. And it just eventually soft freezes (can still hear audio), but then after several minutes it comes back again just to freeze a few seconds later, the loop continues.

I’ve updated drivers
Reinstalled the game completely (removed any and all files related to vrchat, cache included)
Checked task manager for utilization (doesnt use alot of utilization)
Already have tried switching avatars and worlds.
Restarted my pc.
Closed out all and every other application (msi, obs, overlay stuff, osc stuff)

My hardware is a 4060 ti 8 gb
AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D 8 - Core Proc
I have really good ethernet internet (And no, the local wifi traffic isnt “being used up”)
Yes, my game is on an SSD, C drive even.

I had originally brought this up in the vrchat discord, but no one were able to help. (I was asked to post logs, i did and no one said it was definitive as to why i froze).

It has been doing this for weeks now, help.
I am just ready to accept my fate and never play lol.

If you’re in the Virtual Desktop server I think you could search for the driver version you’re using, see if anyone else is complaining.

I’ve had a love-hate relationship with windows update, more than once its thought that a year old is sufficiently up to date, but I go direct to nvidia for drivers, maybe their nvidia app is okay.

But yeah if audio keeps going then it is some sort of 3D issue. Maybe try the October driver instead of the November driver? Check for GPU sag? I managed to go 10 years without an anti-sag bracket on an HD7970, but just two weeks ago the PC wouldn’t boot

??? i am not sure what you are talking about. im not using virtual desktop “drivers” or what ever. and it has nothing to do with my audio driver im sure of it. also my gpu is new

Most of the PCVR users I speak to are using Virtual Desktop, I don’t see any mention of what you’re using.

Your video card has drivers, and I’ve seen a LOT of discussions over the years about driver versions in there and other VRChat related places

Yeah, hence the suggestions to see if anyone else is complaining about the latest driver for the GPU, and the anecdote of GPU sag

was the video not obviously recorded on pc? i’ve said i was crashing on desktop, if i crash on desktop it wont matter what im using for pcvr as it has to go through my pc. ive had this gpu for some time still and hadnt had issues with it before until now.

I’m obviously not making any sense in this thread so I’m going to drop it.

But random GPU driver problems with VRChat is not unheard of
