So I’m encountering the bug where the my menu in VRChat is scrolling up constantly. I’ve encountered this bug on both my Rift S (had it for a few years), and my Quest Pro (only a few months old). I’m using VRChat via Steam. I only have a wired keyboard, and a wireless mouse attached. I do have a scruff controller, but I disconnected it from USB. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
So for future reference:
To resolve go into Steam VR big picture mode and check for any controllers. In my instance, I had a Retrode plugged in and Stream Big Picture mode was showing 5 different controllers. So once I unplugged it, I was able to use the menu.
NOTE: In setting up joysticks and such for ohter games there is a program called HIDHIDE which might also help.. it can for example hide all these other controllers from games.. might work in this case too without the need to unplug them. even windows “game controller” dialog won’t see them once hidden
I’m having the same issue.. I don’t have any controllers plugged into my computer… I went into “big Picture” mode and it showed five different controllers “enabled”… but I don’t have any of them plugged in and I actually only OWN one of them, an xbox-compatible controller… and that one wasn’t even plugged in. So I “enabled steam controllers” and it disabled all of them except the two default steam controllers, and it STILL keeps scrolling by itself… I can’t tell you HOW annoying this crap is… HELP!!
