Pride Month is Here!
Last week, we announced our all-month-long Pride celebration!
You can read more about it here!
For over a decade, VRChat has been a place where its users can explore their identity, meet others, and find community. It’s no wonder, then, that so many LGBTQIA+ folks call VRChat home.
This Pride Month, we thought it was time to support that community directly.
First, we’ll be partnering with Trans Lifeline, a trans-led nonprofit that offers direct emotional and financial support to trans people in crisis. We’ll be hosting our first-ever charity fundraising campaign, where VRChat will match all Gift Drop purchases starting June 11, donating up to $50,000.
We’ll also be dedicating the entire month of June to spotlighting the creativity and joy of our LGBTQIA+ community by highlighting their groups, worlds, and creations. This will include a brand-new Pride Hub World, with Pride Floats built by our community.
No matter who you are, there’s a place for you in VRChat.
Please note that you can earn the Pride 2025 badge and special surprises at the end of June by gifting VRC+ or purchasing a Gift Drop AFTER the campaign starts on June 11. Keep an eye out for when we go live!
2025.2.2 and the Avatar Marketplace are Live!
The Avatar Marketplace is now live!
You can read the full release notes here.
The Avatar Marketplace is a brand-new feature that lets you buy avatars from within VRChat. Simply open up your Avatars tab and click “Explore.” You can browse through a bunch of high-quality avatars, uploaded by VRChat creators.
See an avatar you like? Click it – try it on! Like what you see? Cool – buy it with VRChat Credits and now it’s yours!
This release also brought a bunch of fixes – including a speeded up download process for worlds, fixes to server-side analysis speed, and more.
2025.2.2p1 Was Also Released!
We released a small bug fixing patch yesterday. There’s nothing to big in this one – just a very typical quick-release patch taking care of some of things that broke in the major release.
You can read the full changelog here.
Furality Panels with the Devs!
We have TWO Furality panels with VRChat developers this weekend.
If you don’t know what Furality is, it’s one of VRChat’s largest conventions, welcoming 20,000+ users last year. Furality’s action-packed schedule includes an unforgettable non-stop Club experience, award-winning themed environments, stunning live performances, a huge variety of panels and meetups, an incredible Dealer’s Den vendor space, and so much more! Register here for a ticket.
The first panel is TODAY at 4pm PST led by the Community team (starring Tupper, Strasz, and Flare). You can watch this panel for free on Furality’s Twitch account.
The second panel is a general Developer Q&A featuring several furry developers at VRChat. This is on Sunday at 12pm PST. You can also watch this for free on Furality’s Twitch channel.
For both panels, you can submit questions for Q&A consideration on the Furality Discord.

Creator Roadmap Update Coming Soon?
As you’ve probably noticed, we haven’t updated our Creator Roadmap in a hot second!
Generally, we try to align these with our internal planning cadences. That means that when we discuss the roadmap internally as a team, we’re then able to report back to the community with our most accurate plan for the next few months.
We, unfortunately, missed the timing for our last roadmap update, as a few folks have pointed out recently.
But don’t worry! It’s not going anywhere. We’re currently planning the next roadmap update now! We thought we might be able to squeak it out a little early – hence the Dev Update delay – but alas, there was still a little more planning to be done.
So you can look forward to that in our next Dev Update, on June 19.
Conclusion
That’s it for this week! We’ll be back June 19.
