VRChat Desktop: Controllers?

Hi, so, I pretty much stopped using my VR headset, since I get headaches. It didn’t help to get different headstraps like elite strap thing.

Now I’m using desktop VR + webcam face tracking.

Is there a way to hook up a controller?

That way I could use webcam tracking + controllers for hand tracking and it would be VR-ish without getting a headache.

Thanks for your help.

Desktop mode doesn’t run the FBT or tracking input stuff apart from what the Selfie Expression system provides.
In theory you could maybe use controllers with a custom software that sends locations through OSC to set hand positions with… But would require a custom avatar made for it (and someone to make software for that).

Headaches can have many causes, not just the strap.
Does the pressure of the VR headset feel evenly distributed non your face, not just the forehead?
Does your headset have an IPD adjustment setting? Measuring your proper IPD and adjust your lenses so the center of the lenses are offset by that amount can help too.
Also, do you use glasses IRL? If so, not wearing them in VR can be an issue too, people sometimes get custom lenses instead even.

i think what effects it is the lenses in the headset its self. For me i couldn’t use the quest 2 or valve due to that, however with the quest three it has pancake lenses and i don’t get headaches (still hurts after 3+ hours of playing)
