I wasn’t sure whether or not to put this in the help section or the creator avatar hub, so please forgive me if I’m wrong.
I’ve been trying to animate an avatar moving into the ground (for a magic toggle where they portal into the ground as if to disappear into the shadows) in many ways (moving the avatar itself directly into the floor in Unity as an animation, moving the armature into the floor in Blender and exporting as an animation [which caused me so many problems I don’t even want to talk about]) but nothing seems to work even when it looks right in Unity. When I test it, only the portal moves up and down the avatar as if the avatar itself is the floor. I tried moving just the mesh as well, but since it doesn’t move independent of the armature that doesn’t work either. (I also extensively looked things up, can’t find anyone who’s wanted to do the same thing.)
I was wondering if there’s just no way to put the model in the floor now? I’ve seen a model in VRC do it, but since I don’t have that model nor does it use GogoLoco like I do, I have no way of seeing how they did it. Anyone able to let me know?
^ Armature only (private avi that I don’t want people to see until I use it in a project) screenshot of what it looks like in Unity when I play the animation (it doesn’t look like this in VRC)
