I finally gave the Avatar Marketplace a proper try, and yeah, it got me. I just went in to browse and ended up trying on a bunch of avatars, and of course, bought a few. You don’t need Unity, you don’t have to visit random worlds, you open the menu, click on an avatar, try it on privately, and if you like it, you buy it with credits. That’s it.
Honestly, it feels kinda fun just trying them on. Like VR dress-up but chill. The only thing I wish? More fantasy or sci-fi options. Hoping creators start adding more variety soon. What about yours?
Totally get it, trying them on is half the fun! I am hoping for more fantasy/sci-fi stuff too, the selection’s decent but could use some wild, creative options.
Haha yeah, I tried it too recently and totally get what you mean. I was just planning to look around and somehow ended up spending all my credit. It’s weirdly fun, like window shopping in VR.
I also wish there were more fantasy ones! I saw a few cool ones but nothing that really hit the “wow” for me. Would be awesome to see more dragons, robots, or even like, wizard-type stuff. Hope the creators start dropping more of that soon too.
Totally feel you, It’s super convenient and kinda addicting. Trying on avatars feels like a mini fashion show. I am also hoping for more fantasy/sci-fi styles would love to see more unique designs pop up.
Same here! Went in just to browse and ended up buying a couple too. Super easy and kind of addicting. Totally with you on wanting more fantasy/sci-fi, bring on the wings and mech limbs!
The try-on experience is smooth and fun. I’ve definitely fallen into the “just browsing” trap more than once. I’m not sure more fantasy/sci-fi is the magic fix. There are some out there already; they just tend to get buried under all the trendy stuff. Maybe better discovery tools would help more than just pumping out new categories.
