I joined Foliage and seen my Friend standing outside of the Window with the Loading In… - Bar over his head.
I notified him and he verified that he is offline. He is not even home.
I checked with a different account and he stand outside aswell.
He logged hin by mobile himself. Even he saw his “Ghost” standing outside of the window…
Even more confusing… He had the same issue just before.
He created a new instance and when he joined it My avatar was standing there like a statue even while i was sleeping in foliage. I wasnt there at all….
Is there a way to restart a world or soemthin? My friend is really troubled by the feeling that he is standing in a world like a scarecrow…
If I’m understanding this correctly, your friend signed out of VRC but their character was still showing up in game. If that’s the case, it’s likely they didn’t fully sign out. I’ve actually run into this issue myself a few times.
In my setup, I use a PC and a Quest 2 that connects to Meta (the first screen), then to Virtual Desktop (though Steam Link works too), then over to SteamVR and finally VRC. If you turn off the headset without logging out of VRC first, the system can leave VRC program opened on Steam VR , which makes it look like you’re still online even though you’re not actually there.
Not sure if this helps, but that’s been my experience with the same issue.
