Every time I get on to play now I cannot see anyone’s avatars it’ll just show the blue diamond shapes and say “too many avatars” in the loading bar. Sometimes I can see my friends but if they change avatars they just turn into the blue diamonds with the “too many avatars” above their heads. I have to fully rejoin the world to make them load in but only my friends it still won’t work for everyone else. It’s getting annoying not being able to see even people’s fallbacks and the constant little pop up message saying “low memory some features are disabled” and it has kicked me out the game completely before saying “memory full.” It’s not my storage I’ve looked and it’s not even halfway full and I’ve also cleared the cache in Vrchat as someone told me to try. Idk what to do. My friend found a way to force the game to show someone’s avatar so we can see each other as he has the same issue. We click the person and view the avatar details and it’ll force the avatar to load. We both have quest 2 and I hope the only option isn’t just to buy a quest 3 as not everyone has the money.
The same is happening with me. If anyone knows how to fix it please help!
Memory when talking about computing refers to RAM, the same applies to mobile devices like the Quest.
This means that doing things like clearing your VRChat cache does not help, since that affects storage usage and not your memory usage.
The only actual way you can lower memory usage on Quest VRChat is to use optimized avatars, and to not show Very Poor avatars. There is unfortunately no other way to lower the memory usage on Quest.
