VR chat creator companion is failing to recognize unity installation and when I installed it through VRCCC itself it always fails at the last moment and I can’t find where it put the files it downloaded. So it ate a good 15gb of my storage before I realized it wasn’t deleting past download attempts.

I sometimes use windirstat to find out where my storage has gone.
If the unity installer itself isn’t finishing, maybe there are temp files from the runs?
It’s not unity installer since it installs fine if not done from VRCCC but if I do that VRCCC won’t recognize it.
