I have been enjoying the group function, however many VRC Communities utilize discord for their event calendars.
Posting an update on VRC Groups is great, however I feel it is not as commonly used as it may could be utilized by communities, because most communities don’t want to update both their VRC Group & their discord. (This is not a claim, just an observation I’ve noticed.)
Does anyone know of any Discord & VRC Groups integration apps in regards to the calendar or even just the “announcement tabs” most discord servers have?
Alternatively, maybe this could be something the VRC developers could potentially think of integrating in the future, in order to further expand upon the group feature.

Edit: Actually another idea could be en event calendar for groups to utilize, so new group members can see for example: “oh hey there’s a group event on Tuesday at 8PM, maybe I’ll check that out.”

Custom Bots: Some VRChat communities use Discord bots (like MEE6, Dyno, or custom bots) to post event announcements and sync with VRChat groups, though this typically requires some manual setup. Bots can be configured to notify group members about events directly within Discord, but they don’t sync with the in-game VRChat group calendar.
Manual Updates: As you’ve pointed out, maintaining both a VRC Group and a Discord server can be a hassle. It might help if VRChat introduced a shared calendar or event system, where event updates could be pushed to both platforms simultaneously.
Event Calendar in VRChat Groups: Your idea of having an event calendar feature within VRChat Groups is a fantastic suggestion! Having an in-game calendar would allow members to see upcoming events in real-time, right within the group itself. It would also make it easier for new group members to discover events, as they could see upcoming ones when they join the group. This could also be linked to personal notifications or reminders.
Feature Request to VRChat:
I think it would be an excellent idea for the VRChat developers to integrate a built-in event calendar for groups. This could allow for:
Event creation and listing directly within the VRC Groups page.
Automatic updates that notify group members when new events are posted, without having to manage them separately in Discord.
The ability to sync certain information between Discord and VRChat, like group events or announcements, to save time for community managers.
It’s a feature that could make VRChat Groups even more useful, and I’d definitely support it!
