Body standardization?

Is it possible to standardize body into a specification?

Unify the body standards on booth and Gumroad, and launch dozens of models.

In this way, clothes can have reference standards, making it easy to find and confirm and reducing ineffective duplication of work.

Do you think it is possible to establish an avatar body standard in VRchat?

there used to be, back when it started.
everyone used ripped version of Mikus and TDA bases.

but now you are asking a community of 50k players to all agree to a body standard…
and considering the variety of bodytypes in the paltform, i don’t think it’s gonna happen.

you can find some assets on booth and gumroad that will work with other bases, but YMMV

I am curious of the use of sic here, it’s normally used to explain a grammar/spelling mistake in a quote by indicating it’s exactly as scribed. But like it seems like it’s your own thoughts, and therefore your own opinion on how it should be written. Also it seems correct.

On the topic of standards, for booth avatars some authors of clothing will do the tweaking for each body, and the standard for pricing seems to be a given price for a clothing item fit for an avatar, and 3x that price for access to all the models they’re done.

Haven’t really seen anything similar on the gumroad front.

i’m honestly not sure of how to “spell” it right, not taking a stab at anyone if that’s what your initial thought is.

what would be the correct wording here ?
i’ll edit the post with the right wordings

Edit:

I’ve reviewed the use of (sic) as you mentionned, and i’ve been using it wrong. i thought it was meant to make emphasis on the word, but it actually relates to grammar. my apologies for this mistake.

as far as diversity, it was intended at the traditional meaning of the word, in case there was any confusion. i’ve edited with a different wording

My point is not that everyone has to use it, but rather that there is a standard and a variety of models, and that everyone can come up with a standard.

Increase the reuse rate of the body, reduce the duplication of clothes to adaptation and make it easier to retrieve the name.
