While this thread is still fine everyone should mirror their feedback over on the Canny: [1878] Improve user profile layout [Redesign concept] | Voters | VRChat
It’s not possible to download older unity-6 or open-beta manifests, but it’s possible to revert to older default main branch versions with the old UI.
From the Steam Console (steam://nav/console):
download_depot 483100 438101 9086569173265135051will download VRChat 2026.2.3p2 - July 8, 2026 -Build 1866for Windows.download_depot 438100 438101 905545213110036892will download VRChat 2026.2.3p3 - July 14, 2026 -Build 1867for Windows.
In my case, the files will be downloaded to the %ProgramFiles(x86)%\Steam\steamapps\content\app_438100\depot_438101 directory where I can use start_protected_game.exe or launch.exe to launch the old versions and connect to live.
That’s true, but won’t the ui eventually get updated over there as well? I don’t mind getting used to new user interfaces or whatnot, but I don’t like how it is.
The UI is client-side. You can keep using old versions for now, barring any network compatibility issues or EasyAntiCheat launch failure alerts that will become evident later.
To be honest with you the new ui just made navigation so complicated now who ever approves this needs to look what went wrong
Honestly, true. I had to revert back to the stable release as the user interface was annoying me. But I’m gonna hate it even more if they actually roll out the new ui.
You can submit feedback on the Open Beta board at VRChat Feedback, changes have already been done according to feedback received there.
