Video player error in VR

Hello,

I have a common issue where the video player doesn’t work. Nothing new, same old bug from Youtube, that’s fair. But now I have a new problem : it works on Desktop, but not in VR, short videos can be loaded, but not long ones.

For the setup :

-I use a Meta Quest 3

-Virtual Desktop

-Untrusted URLs on

-No VPNs, on EUW.

I’ve tried the solutions :

-Turning on and off IPV6

-Reinstalling Yt-ddl or whatever the name is in the appdata folder

-Tried the VRX thing from alferah (that auto deletes YT-DDL), so no the comment is not necessary.

-Clear Cache / Re installing game.

-Update my headset

Absolutely NOTHING worked. I’m mad and pissed, this is the second time that this bug occurs to me, and now that there’s no solutions in sight, I’m just desperate. Idk what to do or thing, I’m just so mad that I unistalled the game. If someone comes up with a solution, I’d be glad, thanks…

To add an update :

-Tried installing an older Driver, didn’t worked.

-Short videos works (under a minute) but not longer one.

Here’s log if it ever gets asked…

Unfortunately thats the bot detection from youtube kicking in.
More over yt-dlp.exe is the main problem here.
Vrchat is still running an older version.

The nightly version of yt-dlp has a new parameter, where you can apply a js-runtime component, but that would mean, everyone would need to install a third party application to make it work.

The only solution rn is to use VPN (so far canada still works for me).
Otherwise i give the ball back to the vrc dev team.
