Support team ignores tickets now apparently

I would, except it’s not working.

This is beginning to make more sense. You have something on your end interfering with the connection

See if it will let you test in 1.1.1.1 mode in Warp

if that doesnt work, you need to check with all of the other potential software you run in the background:
Disable Interfering Software

  • Temporarily disable antivirus/firewall (e.g., Windows Defender, third-party like Norton/McAfee) and test.

  • Quit any other VPNs, virtual machines, or DNS tools (e.g., Tailscale, Pi-hole).

  • On macOS: Turn off Internet Sharing; stop VMs before connecting WARP.

  • On Linux: Check for conflicts with systemd-resolved or custom configs

image You dont have to do this publicly, you can DM me privately, but click on your hidden icons if you are windows and snip-tool that for me. I wanna see what you have running

Not much. Just the standard mostly. And I have AVG for antivirus. I’ve tried disabling it but it didn’t affect anything.

But I’m having DNS issues apparently. Which I didn’t even know about. Because I tried to run an nslookup command and it failed so.

So it seems to potentially be your ISP. Check your settings on IPv4 and IPv6, make sure they aren’t disabled and are on their default settings.

Restart your modem, Wait 15-30seconds before turning your modem back on.

Worst case scenario is that you’ll have to change some settings in the modems gateway or contact your ISP to resolve your issue

You can uninstall warp btw, it’s no longer necessary unless you find a use for it in the future

For DNS IPV4 is enabled but not 6.

As for modem, I’ve reset it and I do reset it from time to time and that doesn’t seem to help much.

As for the gateway, is there any settings you recommend I look for or change if you have any ideas?

It’s recommended to have IPv6 enabled for VRC. There was an issue awhile back in VRChat were social services on the platform were broken for those without it.

As for your gateway settings, Im not a pro so Im not gonna act like it but I will say, check some youtube videos on what might best suit you. There are a few settings to help when it comes to gaming but usually default settings are fine.

Okay before I speak more out my mouth without proper knowledge, it’s actually recommended in VRC to have IPv6 disabled.. however currently I do not have it disabled since Im not having issues.

What you can try with IPv4 is setting a manual DNS preset. There are a couple to try

Google: 8.8.8.8
Google Alt: 8.8.4.4

Cloudflare: 1.1.1.1
Cloudflare alt: 1.0.0.1

I havent needed to do any of this with my current ISP. I did have to help a friend with theres since they were having similar issues which are now resolved

I just tried all of that, and nothing worked. Cloudflare still doesn’t work either. This week has sucked majorly, and it figures that still nothing ever works.

I’ll look up some videos later when I have some time. Thank you anyway for trying.

Well regardless of the fix here, now you have another issue, resolving your DNS problem. Once you get that fixed you can try VRC

That’s the thing, I got the DNS working, the commands for verifying the DNS resolution all work. But the other stuff doesn’t.

I’m contemplating just factory resetting my PC.

I dont think that would resolve it.. maybe it could but also.. maybe it couldn’t. But what you could try is a livestream test on a video player. Try at a popcorn palace or gens chill world. Test a YouTube stream and then a Twitch stream.

This is just to see if we can get the video player to function at all after all this

I’ll try.

Also make sure you have untrusted URLs enabled, and maybe try other supported site’s URL

Youtube streams work, but twitch does not and videos do not.

In popcorn palace specifically.

Well that means we are getting somewhere. Now it seems to be more like a regular video player issue that resolves itself over time, which is a huge yaaaa- eh VRC is always gonna have that problem…. with popcorn palace working for streams now you can try using https://vr-m.net/ in their video players search bar and see if a movie/show will play as well

That link doesn’t take me anywhere.

And this video player issue has persisted for about five months now.

That link only works in popcorn palace, you need to select custom url or something like that in their video player “https://vr-m.net/” brings up a search window on the video player

Ah. Alright.
