Poiyomi shaders on quest

Is it possible to add more shader support for stuff like poiyomi shaders to reduce the amount of work needed to make it quest compatible.

Sadly Poi or any custom shaders can’t be imported strait up in quest.
You have some improvements that are being made to mobile shaders, but you won’t be able to do much outside of this.

What you need to do is bake most of your testures use them in the mobile shaders, you won’t be able to do much more.

You can always use some tools to improve your workflow, like polytool or such.

Oh oki thx

i believe there working on making it compatible for quest, as we world builders know quest can handle it, as well as the audio link. Now most worlds don’t use it because of the general misconception that poi doesn’t work on quest, which in fact, it dose. It as nothing to do with Unity’s limitations, just VRC’s limits on everything now days.

I don’t see avatars mentioned in this thread, but it is tagged avatars. Most conversations about shaders on quest are basically informing the asker that VRChat doesn’t allow custom shaders on avatars. Conversations about world shaders are relatively rare. But to your comment I did have to tell someone they can use poiyomi in the quest version of their world. Might even be on the iOS build of their world as well.

I am using poiyomi in a world on quest, works. I also tried out liltoon on an object and one thing I noticed with liltoon is that it uses matcaps in the editor, but I don’t see the matcaps in game.bthe world does build with the matcaps in the build.
