I am new here and excited to join the VRChat community.I’ve recently started exploring VRChat and I’m really enjoying the creativity, social experiences, and all the amazing worlds people have built.
I am still learning my way around avatars, worlds and everything in between so I’d love any tips or recommendations you might have for a beginner. Also interested in meeting friendly people, discovering cool hangout spots and maybe even trying out world or avatar creation in the future.

There is quite a few things to try for, there has been lots of new things in vrchat lately.
What you can begin to look for is the vrchat Live event board, it shows the current events there is around the game. You can also take a look on the vrchat store for avatars (free or not free) to find your first one (don’t feel pressure to put lots of money right away, take the time).
In terms of world, there is lots of things to explore, but if you want recommendations vrchat has a bunch of videos doing showcases of recent popular worlds (for example https://www.youtube.com/shorts/gNwAr8A1HFU)
Also there is the Space Jam that happend recently with many space worlds to explore.
