I’m an avid VRChat user, have been since I got the game back in 2022.
everything was fine for a while, like 2 or so years. But a couple months ago, I was live streaming on twitch when a crasher came into my world and crashed me twice. Ever since that happened, I can play fine for a couple hours until my CPU just spikes to 100% and fully freezes me.
I already have all graphics set to as low as can be, avatar culling enabled, and all of that stuff. Even in private instances I seem to just crash.
I only assume I’m on some list because I never crashed before this.
i’m running an RTX 2060 with 12GB of VRAM
an AMD Rywen 5 5600G
Windows 11
The game’s installed on an SSD
I tried an alt account for 2 hours with no problems at all
oh and 32GB DDR4 ram
You might be able to buy one secondhand, Christmas just happened so maybe someone is reselling their old CPU, definitely not ideal though.
There is the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X for only $123.99 from what I can find, that might be your best bet on a budget. I would definitely say probably a better idea than buying it secondhand.
Do you run other programs with your steamVR for facetracking /fbt etc?
Does task manager say it’s specifically vrchat spiking your cpu?
Have you tried using a different avatar and world on your main account?
