Hello,
i am in the process of creating an avi that is a magician and i need tricks.
i want to be able to allow everyone to see, so everything must be quest compatible.
a few ideas i had:
-
pull a furry from a hat : preplace a seat somewhere and have a assistant furry sit on it then return it to my hand during the act
-
Mind reading: have an audience member place a hand into the hat as i turn around then have something to read out the gesture to me secretly (not sure how to get this one to work as i don’t know how to read others gestures)
looking for more ideas as i want to have at least a few tricks. i have funny or interesting toggles to fill time in between acts but it would feel hollow if there is not a few WOW moments
For a mind reading trick, DarrenZeus has previously made an avatar where a piece of paper is secretly attached behind the magician with answers to what’s on a person mind. One person from the audience gets behind the magician, while the magician writes on a piece of paper with a pen to the audience to the front. The magician then asks the person behind to think of a color, a number and an animal. The magician then says to “read their mind” and writes the answers on a piece of paper held in hand, showing the answers to the audience at the front. The magician then asks the person behind to tell the color, number and animal while showing the paper in hand to the audience at the front only (while the person from behind is secretly reading the answers from the paper attached/toggled behind the magician’s back). If any suspicion raises about the magic trick (or other reasons), the magician can secretly toggle the secret paper behind his back off and turn around. I can’t find a specific episode, but there’s at least a livestream VOD on YouTube showcasing it: https://youtu.be/tdjABQwt3BM&t=623
Make use of contact receivers on a stiff/low pull physbone and hand collisions on those contacts to activate animations for classic illusion tricks without toggles. Slow moving hands will make the contact receivers follow with the hand, fast movements will trigger the contact receiver and an animation.
