What about AMD FSR? It would be extremally easy to implement including settings submenu for it and it works on every GPU, not only Nvidia.
RESIZE CAMERAS
With all the camera updates, could we possibly have the option to resize the camera a bit. It’s quite small and it’d be really handy to be able to resize it when taking photos
Please add custom save locations for screenshots.
Also the ability to turn off organization, I just want all my screenshots in one folder.
I disagree with adding collision to the camera.
The ability to use the Drone Camera without collision has the great advantage of greatly increasing the flexibility of photography and world gimmicks.
One possible disadvantage is that the possibility of being photographed unexpectedly will increase, but it is possible to take similar photos(or screenshots) without using the official Drone Camera, by using avatar gimmicks (Camera Component, shaders, etc.) or moving with tools such as “OVR Advanced Settings” or moving in the real world.
Currently, it is not possible to directly grab and bring the official camera to a through-the-wall position, but I think it is possible to bypass this by using the local and world fixation functions. (This can also break through the 15m distance limit of the Desktop Camera…)
Also, one important disadvantage of adding collisions is that “world gimmicks designed on the assumption that there are no collisions with the camera will no longer work.” (I have heard that such a gimmick exists in a mystery solving world.)
For such worlds, adding collision to the camera would be a breaking change.
A compromise would be to make the camera non-collision by default and allow the world creator to enable collision, but other comments have confirmed that you do not intend to do that with layers.
To piggy back off of this statement there are plenty of worlds with private rooms and having the ability to just phase through them is uncomfortable thought to think about
If people can set thier status to offline and run around vrchat, I want to be able to not see them until they go online.
Third person???
Would it be possible on the world creator side to implement something via Udon while maintaining collision free cameras? One thing I’d love to do here is getting the camera into otherwise impossible spots for pictures.
Or, alternatively, implementing smaller collision boxes for cameras? (plus collision boxes for avatars based on viewball size rather than one size fits all)
Will soon I be able to rotate the camera for Diagonal Horizontal And Vertical Photos soon? :'c
that’s a so required request for me
it wouldnt matter if the camera had collision or not, if someone were to go out theirway to do that they could easily do the same without a camera by using play space mover in the ovr advance settings, find something solid, and screenshot if they wanted to, and whats worse about this method they couls literally spy and not get caught bc the POV moves nothing else like nameplates etc
we need anti- shaders and udon events toggles clearly you and the administration failed to keep the bad people from getting clients and crashing with avatars, i can’t even reveal people’s avatars because of this a game that i’ve spent over 17k on and for, client/mod creators could by themselves get updates released in a day or two
I forgot to mention that if it is only the official camera, I think it is possible for the world creator to prevent photographing even now without using collisions, by using shaders or layer settings.
By using something that is only visible to the official camera, we can prevent it from working.
In other words, I think if world creators want to prevent players from using official cameras to cheat in game worlds, etc., they should already be able to do so.
A really big change or addition to the camera would be action menu support or even allowing avatar prefabs to control the vrchat camera.
this would reduce the selfie style camera taking immensely and allows much much more flexibility.
ちょっとした更新ですが、情報量が多いです。私はそれが好きです。
Translation: “A small update, but a lot of information. I like that.”
avatar scaling when?
I worry that vrchat is persuing perfection in regards to handling crashers.
I am curious about the 17k breakdown, as off topic as it is.
Hey! I’m so proud of you all, for making these updates! Good job!
So, I got an idea! I know you’re guys tired. But, I’ll tell you anyway, if you will like it.
How about making more emoji? Or some new emoji system? For example, everyone can add their own! Which only they can use! And, if that bothers anyone, they can just turn off them for whoever they want, and they can be added to their security settings too.
But, alright. This idea sounds bad. So, let’s go to the next idea:
Adding a lot of new emojis, and better sorting of them, would be very helpful! Or, maybe adding a special menu for them. So, the emojis will be very useful.
I don’t really have good ideas, my apologize. But, I think adding some new stuff to the emojis, will be cool!
Sorry, for my English. Have a great day! Good luck, on the updates!
This was already mentioned a while ago when there was an uproar about the EAC introduction removing the ability for people to use vrperfkit to make the game render using FSR. Apparently they can’t fit it into their pipeline.
Could there be a way to toggle this per-instance by host/master? Clipping should REALLY be enabled by default but also able to be disabled. I suggest this because the potential for filmmaking is immense with no-clip/no collision. By providing a way to toggle per-instance rather than per-world or universally, there is no need for incredible (but outdated) worlds by creators to reupload or modify their content.
Please consider the possibility.
These updates are cool I’m excited for the new ui to the main menu but there are many features to add since you took away mods. You can’t rely on mods anymore to add these features for you. Welp anyways good luck in your future corporate endeavors it’d be cool to see the transition from what vrc is now.
