How would holding the Personal Mirror and Face Mirror toggle be for users who suffer through stick drift? Will there be some other way to access the mirror settings as most Meta (Oculus) Quest users suffer from stick drift?

I know I’m just adding to a pile, but I also frequently use the radial menu mic toggle because I only have one working controller. The floating quick menu in one-handed mode is hard to access while laying down (maybe an issue I should write a canny for…)

I hope my favorite VRChat vtubers will return soon.

removing the mic toggle before steam frame gives us at least a dozen more buttons is a diabolical thought

Steam Frame shouldnt be the deciding factor to remove buttons anyways, there are many better reasons people listed already on why it probably should stay

I am begging to please keep the Mute/Unmute button in this menu :sob:

Seems like a fair number of people are going to miss the mute button being removed from the tools menu.

Perhaps a solution here could be to include a menu somewhere within the options to customise what features are included in tools? This would also provide a means for users to add totally new shortcuts, such as toggling locomotion animations, or name-tags. It would make the tools menu quite dynamic for each users personal needs.

Although, if this idea was to be considered, it might be best to give people back their mute button until such a feature is ready. Personally I like the cleaner tools menu and think it’s a reasonable change, but it’s not worth others losing something they actually depended on.

Yoooo pasting image data into VRChat is a cool feature!

While we’re looking at the action menu, can we split the Emojis & Stickers section into their own sections for one less button press?

I hope there can be some improvements to managing image inventory space along with these easier sharing options, as it’s already bad enough when taking a photo using the print camera and only finding out after the photo has been taken that there’s no space left. Optional auto-pruning would be great. Currently I need to use an external tool to do this.

What the hell, that’s my main way of controlling mic, as I can do it with any hand and only need single hand to do it… And I don’t want it on controller buttons as no space for more bindings + would click it by accident. Please add it back.

There are things I’d honestly would’ve like to have seen with the Face Mirror Action Menu stuff, like for example moving the Spout Stream toggle to the Action Menu would be a good QoL improvement for streamers. There are other things I’d like to see with Face Mirror, but I feel that I would be dragging my feet on that and it would be a whole lot of stuff that wouldn’t be relevant (full body mode for face mirror as an example.) It’s still nice that we’re getting themes applied to the Action Menu UI because it makes a lot of sense to do so.

As for the stream stuff, I’m hoping that even though it’d be a while until y’all bring that back, hope it’ll be put to multiple platforms since VRChat is experienced in a lot of other content platforms than just Twitch. If multichat management is a bit hard there are tools out there that could help you view all the chats easily

I honestly wouldn’t have a problem if the frame’s controllers weren’t only exclusive to the steam frame itself and worked with base station tracking, otherwise I’d tolerate that

Yes please I was about to say the same. Maybe even move “reset avatar” out of the action menu completely?
Clicking it by accident is literally the most frustrating thing in the VRChat UI ever.
It has happened to me so many times that I even wrote a program that makes automatic backups of avatar settings json files.

This is cool but can we get a Item, Custom Portal, De-spawn animations toggle. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. The lag from instances and relying on instance owners is annoying. Also “hiding” the items one by one sucks.

Visual clutter, poor instantiating, and wasted resources man.. Cool I get people paid for them and we got them with VRC+ but I do NOT want to see them all the time.

Thank you for my Ted Talk.. I mean rant <— this last line of text and what follows is an example of EXTRA unnecessary stuff when I could have just ended with the sentences above. But hey, here’s some cheese and a pin. Now here’s a bubble gun, now heres a blackhole, now heres a… I think you get the picture

Having it be next to other stuff I use more like the scaling is so annoying…
Having a confirmation would be really nice.

Man, I’m just waiting on any news about custom items and now accessories.

Is the “short press/long press” in the action menu something that will be available in the SDK for our own expression menus?

I remember someone suggesting this on Discord too, and now that the functionally will exist soon, it would indeed be nice change. :+1:

The only issue would be to have single-pressing the button give feedback to the user about needing to long-press it instead.

Also would love a quick and easy to toggle the ability to hide others in my mirror or unhide them without having to make sure the mirror is open and then going through a bunch of rotary menus.

I second this.

The long-press shortcut to reach the Personal Mirror settings will help, but only a little bit.

I proposed a solution about 9 months ago: Option to make Personal Mirror ‘Grabbable’ only when Quick Menu is opened

Imagine how quick and easy it would be if:

  • the Personal Mirror were only grabbable while the Quick Menu is open
  • the most useful Personal Mirror options were immediately available after opening the Quick Menu:
    • either as buttons that would appear on the surface of the Personal Mirror,
    • or as buttons that would appear in the Quick Menu if you aimed and clicked on the Personal Mirror (like we currently do when selecting players, items, or stickers to get contextual options related to those things).
