Hey all! Here’s your Community Update for this week. This one’s a little short-- that’ll happen sometimes when we’re working on a bunch of things that we’re not keen on showing off just yet. Hopefully, that means we’ll be able to have a much bigger update in a later post, so keep an eye out!
Recruiting Update
Our new Trust and Safety Lead position was opened last week!
As always, if you think you’d be a good fit for this role (or any of the others we have up), please submit your application!
VRChat 2020.2.3
Our next major release version is currently in Open Beta, and is set for release this week! Here’s the release notes.
Please ensure you check out the Open Beta and let us know if any of your content doesn’t work! There’s some fundamental VRCSDK2 bug fixes in this release, so you might’ve been working around bugs that we’ve since fixed.
Avatars 3.0 and the Action Menu
The AV3 team has been working very closely with our Closed Alpha testing group to find bugs and iterate on feedback and systems. So far, the feedback has been very positive and very helpful in pointing us to parts of the system that need some tweaking.
We’re currently working on some changes and tweaks to the core systems based off their feedback. We hope to be able to show off some examples next week!
We’re starting to see some really cool uses of the system, and we’re very excited to show off our tester’s creations soon.
