VRChat Age Verification is extremely important!!!
Its a good change that needed to be made long ago. I’ve personally requested this change for years now ever since the introduction of NSFW content to VRChat such as models and worlds.
I’m aware that the blame is not entirely on the VRChat team. This is a overall community issue as the community continues to create more and more NSFW content for the game.
Even outside of NSFW content there are entire massive groups for people strictly over the age of 18, Bars and groups for people who support substances that should never involve anyone under age.
Some additional changes I would like to see in the future would be.

Add a button on the social tab that would enable 18+ only interactions in public worlds.

Remove the ability to use uploaded/public models to anyone not age verified.
The vast majority of players would not like the change but for the measures of child safety I’d suggest these changes. Although the concept of safe for work is a bit skewed with VRChat models, just due to them not having sexual objects or options such as personal body parts, Most models in VRChat would never be used in a professional setting as they have objectively been made not safe for work.
I’m well aware that there are not enough moderators to handle every single report or manage dealing with systemic issues such as the ones mentioned above, It would be a nice change of pace for the team as well so that we have less interactions that lead to these violations and flat out legal issues.
