A long time ago I made a template for myself in order to see in advance how a picture for my avatar will look in the social menu with all the icons and nickname. Maybe it will be useful for someone else.
-If you work in photoshop then first move your picture above the frame layer with alt pressed so that the picture is only displayed on the frame surface.
-Then adjust its position as you want, but keep in mind that the picture should fill all the space, not just the frame.
-In the layer stuff you can rewrite the nickname or hide vrc+ icon.
-When you are done, move the layer with the picture to the top layer and save the resulting picture and put it as a preview of the avatar
