Avatar list bugged - possible soft upload limit?

Hey gang,

I was wondering, as of 2025 are there any limits to uploading avatars to your account?

I’m a hobbyist avatar modder, and I’ve noticed the following issues as of today:

  • Avatars seem to load slower

  • Toggles don’t always persist on avatar swap
    (even unchanged avatars that have worked for years)

  • My avatar sorting (i.e. recently used) is scrambled and random

Has anyone else experienced this? I’ve been wondering if there’s a sort of “soft limit” of avatars before things get wonky? I noticed it after I uploaded my 89th avatar.

I also wonder if it could be something else that I’m not considering.

Only times I’ve had trouble with that are when I forget to have a parameter save

I have noticed that avatars load slower, especially getting hit with server processing. I think they reprocess avatars occasionally.

Interesting - have you noticed anything with avatar sorting too? Mine doesn’t work at all right now.

The toggles were also forgotten across all avatars I own, I wonder if it could have the reprocessing you’re mentioning

For toggles I’ve noticed that right below the button to clear cache (mostly pointless but it makes people feel like they clean something) is a button to delete local avatar settings, and then the last option is some sort of texture cache. So it kinda makes sense to clear the first and last, but not the middle…

I have two PC friends that cleared cache and then unintentionally cleared all avatar settings.

For the sort order I’ve noticed that the latest update is not just uploads, generating an imposter will bump an avatar to the top. Which is great except for the part where imposters can be generated automatically.

My other complaint is that the sort order is used for different categories. Like the list of recently used should sort by last used.

None of those seem relevant as the cause right now unfortunately - though I appreciate the insight lol
