Will the Quest 3 ever Have a graphical upgrade?

Will the Quest 3 / Quest 3S version of VRchat ever get a graphical upgrade?

Considering the headset has significantly more power than the Quest 2, I think vrchat could probably handle some fancier graphics like limited-PostProcessing, and maybe shaders, or maybe even audio on avatars.

I don’t know the complications behind developing games or anything so I don’t know if this is possible or not, but it would be pretty cool.

Also We could have the Quest 2 Graphics avaliable in graphic settings incase we want to lower to graphics for general performance.

Likely no… I followed the guideline to make world with interactive water… and Quest 3 dropped to 30fps when 12 people joined into single instance… I also made another interactive water world that doesn’t follow guideline and fps drop to 30 with only 6 people in instance.
Also most of time it’s the world creator to decide graphic stuffs. There’s no standardized graphic setting definition between worlds… only limitation on some component and file size.

Quest 3 has 8gb of RAM compares to the 6gb of quest 2. Raising the resolution uses up a good chunk of the additional fastness on the GPU side

If VRChat was a traditional game, authored by a coordinated group of developers a “quest 3 graphical update” would be possible, mainly because there would be performance standards that are followed rather than ignored.

I’m curious to see if VRChat will squeeze a bit more on hard avatar limits. Set a max polygon count to a million on quest, see how many people complain.
