WELCOME TO THE VANGUARD!
WHAT IS THE VANGUARD?
The Vanguard is a “pseudo-rp” (read: not actually rp - but read below because we do facilitate it) group of awesome people from diverse and wonderful backgrounds that we have met in VRChat! We don the spartan armour from Halo, dive into VRChat and have a bit of fun by running around as a ‘spartan squad’. This isn’t at all serious (although you’re entirely welcome to go more in-depth with your character should you want to, and we have a variety of resources to help you with that). We are simply looking to spice things up in the VRChat world and brighten everyone’s day up with a bit of fun!
ARE THERE ANY REQUIREMENTS TO JOIN?
You will need a spartan/halo avatar! Other than that, just be respectful and make sure you have a sense of humour. Don’t feel you have to participate if you don’t want to! We’re easy going. If you need a spartan/halo avatar, please DM one of us and you can clone ours.
CAN I RP IF I WANT TO?
Yup! You are absolutely more than welcome to, and if there is a growing need to facilitate that, we will create dedicated channels, roles & even VRChat worlds for you. We will always be very welcoming of you! 
CUSTOM VANGUARD AVATARS:
Please note we have our own custom Vanguard Spartan avatars. We use two content creators, one is free and the other is paid, depending on your needs. You DON’T need a custom avatar to join, at all. We also have world links to plenty of good, pre-customised spartan avatars.
COMMUNITY EVENTS:
AEGIS: This is an off-shoot group of a bigger server called “AEGIS”, which hosts monthly VRChat events such as live-music, minigame nights like “hide & seek” etc, movie nights and a variety of other fun things to bring people together and socialise. You’ll see announcements about those events in the #announcements channel (in Discord).
SPARTAN EVENTS: When a spartan group is up and running, it’ll be announced in the #announcements channel. Please feel free to just join in whenever a spartan group is running! If you get stuck or for some reason can’t, please DM the host to get an invite.
