I see VRChat has a new version, 1472. When I launch the game using either desktop or VR mode, it loads into a prompt asking me to update the app. The ‘Update’ button is not clickable by either my quest 3 controller or my mouse.
I tried reinstalling to get the latest version but, despite version 1472 being the advertised version in the store, version 1471 is installed.
Im at a loss at what to do given not even uninstalling and reinstalling fixed this.
The game installed directly on my headset loads just fine.
This is now solved. I cleared the 20GB of cache I’d saved up for a long time by launching the game via steam, 10 mins later, the update notification for the game appeared in the meta quest link desktop application.
I cannot verify if clearing the cache was the solution, but it certainly correlates.
Was the UI from the Meta Quest link software, or from VRChat? I’ve only ever seen the Meta software complain about versions, and the only reason it’d ever care about vrchats 20GB of stuff in a corner, is if my PC was legit out of space again.
Hey so I’m having the exact same issue you have had. I have tried reinstalling both in steam and meta quest link, clearing 5 GB worth of cache in desktop, and even swapping in-and-out of beta but it still did nothing.
Still currently looking into this issue, as it feels like the cache is not correlated to this at all. What might be is that this is largely a meta quest issue from what I can tell. I use a quest 2.
(EDIT)
Okay scratch that, AS SOON as I posted this it worked, got that update on the quest link app. Really not sure what the correlation is here still but at least it works haha.
