Merlin, a former VRChat employee, quote-retweeted the official VRChat post about layoffs. He mentions the following:

Disappointed that the email VRChat published about its 30% layoff entirely skipped the key point that their severance package is contingent on signing a broad and vague non-disparagement. This isn’t allowed in the US. They set an incredibly short 1 week deadline to sign it too
