When reading the blog post about the new VRC+ Selfie Expressions feature it mentioned being able to work on most avatars just using the basic vismes, and that makes me think that some level of more native face tracking could probably be opened up to VR users too. As far as I know (would love to be proven wrong tho :3) any face tracking support outside of this new feature requires the avatar to have built in support specifically for VRCFT, but this feature makes me think that some level of functionality should be theoretically possible even without that avatar level compatibility. I’d love to still have some amount of face tracking when trying out other avatars beyond the ones I upload myself
