Hi,
Technically, VRChat could support all NSFW content created without having to change much.
Because everything is there except for one small thing.
That would be a branch fork that allows NSFW content to be clearly marked on an avatar, thus displaying an alternative for users under the required age.
Here’s a list of what’s already there:
-In edit, marking for NSFW content before upload.
-Filter rules in comfort and safety settings (unfortunately freely configurable)
-Age certification (behind a paywall, but that would be a way to earn more money)
What’s missing:
-The branch fork so that alternatives can be displayed!!
I feel the same way, that more and more avatars are disappearing, even if they didn’t even have anything remotely NSFW about them.
And the argument that it’s about child safety doesn’t hold up in this case, since every interaction poses more risks than a technically regulated NSFW avatar.
