ClientSim not interactable when played

So for reasons I cannot quite understand, the vrchat client sim whenever played cannot be interacted with in the game scene.


When I look into the missingReference issue, it points me to the client sim event system. I’ve reloaded TextMeshPro three times including re-importing and fully removing it just to be safe. I’ve also done the same with client sim but nothing changed. I am at a loss at what to do aside from making a new unity file. It’s also recording the pointer at being -1 so I am uncertain if that’s also a problem and how that would be fixed.
