As title. If it’s not possible, is there anyway to make some kind of string or chain move naturally when being grabbed?
I keep seeing people ask for Physbones in worlds in the dev update threads, so I’m going to just say no.
I’m hoping for a solution to this but can’t seem to find much. It looks like PhysBones won’t react at all unless attached to a VRC avatar object, and if you use the old DynamicBones plugin instead, while it appears to work perfectly in-world, it won’t run in VRC.
Oddly I found a VRC blog post from not that long ago (naturally I can’t find it now) in which VRC said they’re continuing to allow DynamicBones in world…but that appears to no longer be the case. Elsewhere I saw a user say that only an old version that’s no longer available of DynamicBones works, but I tested a copy from 2018 and that didn’t work, so I’m out of ideas with no indication of which version still actually works in-world, not just in Unity.
Edit: In a July 11th 2024 update: " Dynamic Bones in worlds are still allowed and will not be auto-converted into PhysBones."
But then why don’t they work at all
guess joint is the only way to simulate rope physic… something I just figure out lately… the setup process is kinda annoying…
