Hi, I am a VRC user and wanted to try out the Mobile version of VRC but it never worked, I have a Moto G 5G phone with a 6gb RAM. Even with these requirements. Google Play dosent let me install the app.
Is there any way this can be fixed so it can be optimized for my moto. (just to clarify, My Moto 5G is a version 15)
The app requires Android 10 or later, but based on what i read online that’s what your phone supports. Then it’s strange indeed, maybe open a ticket about that, maybe there is specific limitations ?
VRChat requires a very very good phone CPU, it works on almost no entry level phone.
I you really want to try VRChat with 2fps on your phone you can. Just download Aurora Store from F-droid and install VRChat from there. (Aurora allows you to get APK without Google services and so the hardware verification they use on playstore to know if your device is compatible which is solely based on dev criteria btw)
I personally was able to launch the game and get a lot of visual glitches with (literally) 0.5fps in an empty instance.
So yeah while a lot of devs target their game to very high end hardware to avoid negative review (while their game would still be playable) I wouldn’t recommend this for VRChat which is really resource intensive.
