When I first joined VRChat, I had no clue what I was doing. So many buttons, avatars, and random worlds, I didn’t even know how to wave to people properly. But with time, I found peaceful places, kind folks, and a look that really feels like “me.”

It usually begins in similar ways for people. Randomly wonder in publics and find a group you connect with a little bit more than usual. Add them as friend, join them often, begin organizing things in discord for communities, build trust and end up with long friendships that can last for years.

Yes i think everyone was a bit confused in their first time. When i started playing, i took the time to go in every settings and things i could. once that was done i went to the black cat (my deepest regret). The best way to have fun on this game is to find a group of friend or create one with some people you like. i fell on my first friend when i was in a “gallery” and we crossed path and started talking to each other. now i hang out when i can with him cause he was the first one ^^.
nowadays the games is way easier to take in hand than before but i still give those advice to new player. I you haven’t yet , don’t go to the black cat to start. go on other worlds with few people that interest you and try to speak with them. it can be just a word but it will make the difference. once you find someone you like hang out with him or alone and you’ll find more and more of people you like.
I would also give them a little overview in the game like : expression menu , goloco, avatar culling and safety.
