Is there anywhere I can find avatars that are ok to use? I worry about an avatar not being ok and causing problems. I dont see a “No Copyright” or anything similar. So would I need to contact creators of each avatar I use to make sure it is all ok?
Just would like some clarification on this. I understand about avatars from an IP, but unsure where the line is on other avatars.
We recommend following the TOS of the avatars that you’re trying to use, private or public!
does language apply to the PG-13 rule, as in 1 non sexual use of the F-word, or a few uses of other swears? I’m assuming, so I just wanted to confirm so I can change my script if I need to.
Try to avoid the F-bomb, I think PG-13 allows you one!
Is the hyrule castle count as copyright?
Pretty sure that belongs to Nintendo, so please avoid using it!
Does end credits of world, avatars, and music must be included in the final submission? Am I allowed to have the film at exactly 10 minutes and have it overtime for credits
The full length of the YouTube upload will be considered for the 10 minute limit. If you’re worried about going over with the credits, I recommend putting them in the YT Description.
What about AI generated music or sound effects? i was going around Pixabay and found a good sound effect
Pixabay should be fine. Try to avoid using AI-generated content.
What if we’re using a different aspect ratio rather than full screen?
Is it possible to upload and submit a version specifically optimized for the Film Jam premieres and then upload a full HQ version in proper aspect ratio that would premiere later on my personal account (and have that one featured in the potential vrc youtube page playlist?)
We will only be judging the version uploaded to the submission form on YouTube! You’re welcome to make other versions of the film for your personal YouTube account and link people to that version of the film instead. Note that when we’re premiering the films, we will most likely only be showing the version submitted to the jam.
