This change seems to have been made already. I saw some people in trouble by this. In the near future was like In a day after this developer update.
This change is reasonable, and I think immediate execution is (was) not problematic. But you (VRChat) should update the part of this article and widely inform users who upload avatars.
The wiki seems like an exciting addition to the VRChat documentation. Glad to see it!
I’d like to bring up a concern that I have though with VRChat’s ever growing number of official websites, that there’s no real cohesive way of navigating between them, and discovering them is probably difficult for new users.
As far as I could find, VRChat has 11 independent official sites.
That is quite a lot, and for the most part, most serve a unique purpose from one another.
But as they’re all set up now, a lot of them don’t all link back to each other, and navigating them all to find what you’re looking for can be rather confusing.
I believe hello.vrchat.com is the only site to link to most of them, however, the site doesn’t present them very well as they’re just amongst the many links in the navigation bar.
creators.vrchat.com contains links to the UdonSharp, VCC, and ClientSim docs, but none of those 3 link to each other, nor back to the Creators docs. Also it doesn’t make much sense to me that these are split up into 4 different websites when they could all be contained within the Creators docs website. Additionally, the docs.vrchat.com website seems rather redundant when most of its content has been moved to the other new sites.
Overall, I would like to see VRChat's official websites do a better job of cross promoting each other in a more visible and more navigable way in order to better help user find the resources they're looking for. All these links should be accessible from nearly every site.
That’s definitely a great feature and will certainly help user navigation! Glad you guys have done that.
Though, I’d still be happy to see links to the other creators sites just like they are presented on the main creator docs site. It will certainly help when you know generally what document you’re looking for, but have just forgotten the name and know how to navigate to it in just a few clicks. It’ll also help for when you need to jump between the sites quickly.
ever since the implementation of input 2.0 (and during the beta) the index hand position has felt extremely unnatural and are even misaligned between left and right hand. Please revert the hand position to as it was before the update.
