Can't see lip-syncing in mirrors or cameras

I made a 2D PNG avatar and I can’t see the mouth move in my mirror or camera. However, other people can see it and if I open up a menu and manually walk away from my avatar in my playspace, I can see the mouth moving so it’s clearly rendering. I’m not sure if there is a avatar setting I need to change or if there is some setting in VRChat I need to change but this issue has been bothering me for hours and I can’t find a fix anywhere.
