VRChat OAuth would be the perfect tool for something I’m trying to build now. A singer who performs in VRChat and streams on Twitch wants a song request queue; to do that, I would need some way to know who it was who made a request. For Twitch viewers, that’s easy - I ask them to log in with their Twitch account, and I can then see public info about the person (name, avatar, but not email address or anything). For VRChat, it would be great to have the same.
Creating connections like this doesn’t restrict VRChat in the future - it expands its scope. There is a huge field out there for things that the VRC devs don’t need to personally create, letting the community build functionality that enhances VRChat as a platform.
