My quest switch isnt working, help

So, I have the proper amount of physbones disabled for quest, but it still doesn’t work. textures are fine. and it makes everything stiff in-game and all my avatars are not working physbones wise. and it only breaks for quest when the amount for quest is exceeded even though I have them disabled in quest switch. I attatched one photo of my physbones, I only have three enabled! I cant find any help anywhere else

How is quest switch disabling them? Is it making a copy and removing the physics entirely?

I’ve never used quest switch so I don’t know how it works, but based solely on the screenshot shown in this thread I wonder if you could move the physbone to another object (right click and you can create an empty object) and then tell the quest switcher to mark that object as editor only. It’s a tag, so untagged to EditorOnly

When you have a physbone on another object, don’t forget to specify the bone to act on

im not the smartest person so ill try my best to try, but its not duplicating anything or making a copy, it just outright disables stuff

If it’s just disabling the physbone then that would explain why it’s seen when uploading.

Physbone can be animated on/off so disable physbone object still counts

The vrchat SDK used to stop when there was too many physbones on quest but these days it just silently removes them all without a peep

So if you can have the object tagged editor only when in quest, that would actually hide it from the upload process

how do i mark it as that? im not quite aware of what ‘markig them as editor’ meand

Change it from Untagged to EditorOnly. Note this will most likely remove the bone as a whole from VRC Quest Tools, not only the physbone component.

If you want more granular control, make a new prefab/prefab variant for mobile platforms with changes without VRC Quest Tools and upload that one, or move the physbone components into its own GameObject at avatar root and disable that physbones holding GameObject per platform.

im not super sure what these words mean, im not advanced at unity, i only know ghe basics
