Is there any way to have an audio clip on an avatar to activate lipsync?

I’m working on a couple of avatars that I’m using for live performance and I’m playing with different ways to sync up mixed audio clips, what I’m curious of is if there is any way to have an audio clip attached to the player to use the automatic lip sync detection? I’d love to be able to play a vocal track on cue and have it drive the lip sync of the model if at all possible.

Thanks for reading! <3

As far as I know, No.
At least before Avatar 3.0

You can “bake” the lip sync into an animation if you have a lip sync asset in Unity and a script that can record blend shapes. However the last time I did this was in 5.6 and I don’t think the assets I used work any more, but you should be able to find a recorder that will do this. If you are trying to capture just the singing and not music you will need the vocal track isolated. Then there is always the option of hand-animating the blendshapes!

Thankee Kindly! I managed to do the lipsync via Oculus Lip Sync, and recorded using Unity Recorder! :3
