some of you may have watched this video already [![](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/vrchat/original/3X/4/2/42b17f372b837fe7ad6ac867e0434fcae8d53eb0.jpeg "DIY VR Treadmill Tutorial (The Maratron)") ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EzYy1MZocXU) To be able to do my own Treadmill its like dream comming true (imagine actually walking on organism!!!), BUT, the problem is he uses Rewasd to be able to make the mouse works as a controler for the games, and im afraid that vrchat as a multiplayer game can kick me out while using this program. So my question is, is it possible to make the analogue on a Vrcontroler (quest 2), be like a mouse ?,only using steamlink controler change or vrchat itself ?, my plan is to make foward and backward to be detected as the mouse. ---

I haven’t watched the video, but if you can make OSC work [OSC as Input Controller](https://docs.vrchat.com/docs/osc-as-input-controller) then you have something that’ll work on both PC and standalone quest. ---

I watched a third of the video, interesting idea. I tried searching to see if anyone has tried rewasd with VRChat’s EAC and all I got was a reddit thread asking about it. [Reddit - The heart of the internet](https://www.reddit.com/r/VRchat/comments/1n4ml7f/compatibility_and_anticheat_with_rewasd/) In the youtube comment I saw a comment where someone tried it, and vrchat wasn’t listening to the fake joystick. ---

Yeah, if VRChat isn’t picking up a certain joystick device, then that leaves room for a program to read that joystick and do OSC stuffs. maybe ChatGPT can figure that out. But before you try vibe coding that, for VRChat to read joysticks it needs to be the active task on the desktop. I forgot about that detail until I was thinking about when I normally use a joystick to walk around like a Deskie ---

Definitely possible on quest. I’m looking into something similar to this since mouse movement fails to work at all for me.
