Invisible Custom Avatar Bug

I’ve been playing VRChat on and off for quite some time, and I recently wanted to be more involved, including having my own avatar.

I followed this tutorial: How to make and upload a VRChat Avatar QUICK & EASY!!! - YouTube

Everything seemed ok, it uploaded properly and is in the “my creations” tab when I play VRChat, but the problem is that my model is 100% invisible and when I go to move my mouse (I play on PC for the time being) I move on a weird 3rd person axis and it makes me a little motion sick.

In terms of unity, I used Unity 2019.4.31f1 as stated here: Currently Supported Unity Version

I’m not sure what I did wrong, I followed the instructions to a T and the Unity version is the current VRChat version…how do I fix it???

If your avatar is in third person and having a weird camera angle this is because you have not correctly set where the view for the avatar should be. (the little grey ball needs to be placed infront of/inside the avatars head)

can you take a photo of your unity so we can see the model?
