How to toggle attached objects?

So, I’m just curious about something. Is there a way to toggle on or off objects that are connected to an avatar? Is there like specific code I need to use, or is it possibly something that hasn’t been done before?

Create two animations that sets the gameObject’s isActive to true and false, add them onto a layer in your FX controller, and create a toggle in your expression menu for a parameter the transitions between your animations look at.

So, according to my hierarchy, I have a model of a radio attached to the hips of my avatar. Do I have to detach it and put it somewhere else in the hierarchy, or am I able to do the same thing with it on the hips?
