# Hands don't work

im on quest, when i join with the new avatar i have my hands dont work and it says to use esc to open menu but im on quest

### 1. **Enable Hand Tracking in Quest Settings** :
First, ensure that hand tracking is enabled in your **Quest settings** :
- Press the **Oculus button** on your right controller to bring up the **universal menu**.
- Go to **Settings** \> **Device** \> **Hands and Controllers**.
- Make sure **Hand Tracking** is turned **ON**.
### 2. **Recalibrate Your Controllers** :
If your controllers aren’t tracking properly or your hand tracking feels off, you can recalibrate them:
- Open the **Settings** menu by pressing the **Oculus button**.
- Go to **Settings** \> **Device** \> **Controllers**.
- From here, you can follow the on-screen instructions to recalibrate your controllers. This ensures they are correctly positioned and tracking well in the space you’re using.
