Entire avatar moves with head movement but only in VR

So I’ve been working on my very first avatar since I got VR but I’m having issues with it in VR mode. On desktop mode it’s head moves fine but in VR looking down causes the entire character to float up into the sky and looking up causes it to sink into the floor.

I’ve always made avatars for desktop mode but now I want this avatar to work in VR, but I can’t seem to figure out what is happening.

Did you ever figure out how to fix this? I am having the same issue.

It seems like it’s an issue with the placement of the avatar’s viewpoint in unity, it looks like if the viewpoint is toward the end of the nose, the rest of the body gets dragged with it while having it closer to where the head of the user is prevents this dragging. It seems like desktop automatically fixes it since it doesn’t have other body parts to keep track of. I’m still very new to avatar making so take this with a grain of salt since it may not even be the problem/solution
