Is the camera still supposed to follow behind you with smooth camera enabled? The old version of the camera never had this problem and its a pain to use smooth camera when recording or streaming. Will there be a fix for that too? Also when you showed off the plane, it was not using camera smoothing
The UI tab is still actively being worked on, thanks for bringing it up!
We already support playback of Impulse Tracker (.it ), Scream Tracker (.s3m ), Extended Module File Format (.xm ), and the original Module File Format (.mod ). via Unity’s built-in Tracker Modules functionality. Just add them to an Audio Source as the clip!
I wanna know the same thing cause in the video it doesn’t seem like it which sucks. I miss old smoothing
Oh nice~! I wasn’t ware~! Great to hear~! Thanks~!
Thank you for responding so promptly!
That’s reassuring. There’s no rush; right is always better than fast. I just hadn’t heard news in a bit. I’ll be looking forward to it!
The Portal UI Refresh looks so clean, wow!
This is all BIG and I’m excited for this to come hopefully soon! Feedback for the earmuffs icon in the nameplate though, the icon itself should be adjusted to be a bit bigger and a brighter colour to at least be a bit more visible and catching to the eye.
Small feedback on the revamped portal UI. Could move the PC / Quest compatibility indicator to the top right corner since its current position makes it feel too cluttered next to world size. Could also have a person icon next to the instance population count.
I had the same idea! I feel like it don’t need to be TOO simple though, but it needs a redesign. It would be nice if it supported 360 images, so based on the angle you looked into the portal you could see the worlds spawn
I also wish we could see peoples client versions via the UI when seeing who was in the instance. I liked being able to see if I was in a world full of Mobile, or PC users and use that as a cote of volume with what avatars I used.
seeing 10 trackers in preview video surprised me. is there a documentation on how many trackers are supported and which location?
They already have a clear name lol. They’re called “Action Menus”.
one quick suggestion i have about the new portals ui, maybe make it a bit smaller? appears to be taking up a lot of space. cool stuff as always though!
Bi-Weekly reminder for hand tracking on PC
Honestly, it would be enough to allow movement of the bones through OSC, similar how you did with the Mocopi tracking.
There are solutions out there currently, but they rely on Avatar parameters and space for that is limited - especially if you want face tracking at the same time…
Other than that, good job on the FBT adjustment stuff! I still need to test it, but it should make Mocopi much more usable (since you cant really recalibrate without leaving VR and fiddle with your Smartphone).
I agree with that as well, I myself had difficulties at first to notice there was an earmuff icon on the nameplate.
Yep! We have three menus:
“Quick Menu” is the small menu that appears on your hand when you press your menu button. It has tabs on the bottom, has buttons for Avatar, Worlds, etc, and has wings.
“Main Menu” is the big menu that appears floating in front of you when you click on Avatars, Worlds, or the “expando” in the top right of the Quick Menu. It contains detailed settings and more information. It’s also how you search for worlds, users, that kind of thing.
The “Action Menu” is the radial menu that appears when you long-press your menu button. You navigate it with your joystick. It has things like Expressions, Tools, and Emoji. You can use it to customize your avatar and other features, or pull up quick tools like the Personal Mirror or the Face Mirror.
I’ve heard all of these menus called a variety of things… people make up all kinds of names!
We want to keep it quite small so we don’t make the already-kinda-busy nameplate even worse. Nameplate 3.0 when??!
That’s true, it’s not easy at first to find the right balance, but it looks pretty good, all things considered! ^^
At the very least, maybe more bright white and less muted gray? ^^;
Yup lol. I even heard someone describe the Action Menu as… the circle thingy. Ah yes, very descriptive XD
